No matter what you are going through, remember that it is just a little sliver of your very big life.
Many people face obstacles in their life—whether it is getting in shape, and not seeing results or even dealing with difficult people day in and day out—but at the end of the day, you need to remind yourself that you deserve to be happy. If reaching that goal is what makes you happy, tell yourself you deserve it. Too often, we forget the importance of self-love and -appreciation. Ever heard of self-sabotage? Yeah, that shit happens. And who are you to get in the way of your own happiness? Whatever your goal may be, tell yourself “I deserve it” and propel yourself to reach your goals. If it’s dealing with difficult people, ask yourself if their negative energy is worth your negative reaction. Letting go of the things that are not within your control will not only give you peace of mind, but it will also give you the time to focus on better and bigger opportunities for yourself.
Next time you’re faced with a challenge, whether it is mental, physical, spiritual—whatever, make sure you tell yourself you deserve it. Sometimes, you just have to invest in yourself.
